It has been a did-not-see-that-coming-a-mile-away-awesome year for new plays. A decent year for new original musicals. A piss poor year for award judgment.
Tomorrow night I will hopefully be missing the Tony Awards to see Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn's new downtown musical, Lysistrata Jones - but regardless, here are my predictions for the all important "Antionette Perrys".
